Major Rough
Once this shape is complete I name it in its 'object layer' palette - Major
Rough. To rename the object in the timeline window I selected the name
'red geometric' and press the ENTER key. I rename the object - Major Rough.
Since I have yet to see a rough that is red in color I chose a medium green
(0, 150, 0) and brought the opacity level back to 100%. Here is the result:
After creating an object hide it to reduce screen clutter
With my Major Rough complete I turn it invisible
by clicking the 'eye' icon in the 'object layer' palette. This
enables me to work on the next element - the minor rough. I use
the same technique as I did on the major rough.
The pen tool in LiveMotion is used very much like
in Adobe Illustrator. Create as many control points as you need
if you find you have created too many it is simple to delete
them. Put the pen tool directly over the control point and click.
You can adjust the control point by selecting the 'pen selection
tool' pick the control point and drag the direction point. When
tracing the rough I developed a system of adding control points
to the extremes of curves and one additional point in between.
Numbers 1 and 3 are what I consider extreme points, and number
2 the point in between. It gave me maximum control over the shape.
Add extra control points on curves
As I created each shape I gave them specific colors
that I recorded for future holes. Below is the complete version
of the hole.
