The last part of this project is creating the
animation. After some trial and error I discovered that creating
a path style animation was not going to be easy in LiveMotion.
In Flash I could create this in about five minutes because
of its ability to morph and/or tween shapes. LiveMotion 1.0
does not have this capability. Hopefully this is something
that can be corrected in the next release.
Looking for answers on the Adobe LiveMotion forum
I learned of a method to create the effect in Adobe Illustrator
and then import the files into LiveMotion. But I really want
to use the power of LiveMotion to create my animation. After
some experimentation I decided to use 'masks.'
Tee Shot
The first step was to create the 'origin' point or Tee Shot position. I first
set the 'current frame marker' to frame 2 in the timeline. I create a simple
red circle (hold the shift key to create a circle). I name the object 'Tee
Shot 1.' You are probably wondering why I am setting up the ball positions
first. It will be easier to add the animated paths later since all I will
have to do is connect the dots.

Second Shot Position
The next step was to create the position of where the first shot will land.
I play the timeline, listening to the audio track while keeping my eye on
the 'current frame marker.' The first part of the audio advising how to play
the first shot stops at the 3.5 second mark. I shifted the 'current frame
marker' to the 3.5 second mark and then create the second ball graphic and
position it as advised in the audio track. I name it - 'second ball position.'

Remember to slide the 'object duration marker' to the
3.5 sec. mark

Third Shot Position
Again, I listen to the audio while keeping my eye on the 'current frame marker.'
The third position will be set on the 5.5 second mark. I create a third red
ball. I then drag it near the edge of the fairway by the green. I name this
graphic - 'third ball position.'

Fourth and Fifth Shot Positions
As the audio becomes more general I decided to add the fourth position ball
at the 7.5 second mark and the fifth position ball at the 9.5 second mark.
I create two more graphics and maneuver them onto the green. I name them
'fourth ball position' and 'fifth ball position.'

When I tested the animation the five 'ball positions'
appear in the proper order. Now all I had to do was connect
the dots.
